Citrix discovery error launching Citrix Delivery Services Console
Error Message:
Errors occurred when using “Server Name” in the discovery process

Log Properties:
Citrix XenApp failed to connect to the Data Store. ODBC error while connecting to the database: 37000 -> [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Cannot open database “MF20” requested by the login. The login failed.
Solution is to run the following command from an elevated Dos prompt, on faulting server.
dsmaint config /user:Domain\Administrator /pwd:Password
Now restart “Citrix Independent Management Architecture” (IMA) service as prompted upon successful completion of command.
ReRun Discovery service on Citrix DSC XenApp farm.

Recent issue installing a local HP printer with “HP Smart Install” enabled, onto a Win7 embedded Thin Client.
To resolve, disable “HP Smart Install” on the printer. Thin Client will then automatically find and install printer with pre-imaged PCL drivers.
Path to Disabling “HP Smart Install” on HP Printer.
Press OK button on printer to access Printer Menu’s.
Setup Menu > Service > HP Smart Install > > set to OFF.

Installing a Print driver onto a Thin Client.
You will need a USB key.
Insert into thin client
Open System properties and click on the “Advanced” tab.
Point temp & tmp files to the USB key
Disable any software that limits writes the thin client.
Install your s/w, undo the above.
